Michael Sitaras assisted Michael Heizer build Dragged Mass Geometric at the Whitney Museum in 1983 and constructed Dennis Oppenheim's Rolling Abacas sculptures in 1983 for the Sander Gallery in Soho, NY.  He has received a juror's award from Dore Ashton in 1983 for the Miniatures exhibition at BACA in Brooklyn.
